Carla Perkins - Senior Ecologist


Carla is a senior ecologist with over thirteen years of ecological and environmental consulting experience within a range of sectors including urban development, local and state government, energy and resources, linear infrastructure and natural resource management (NRM).

 

Carla’s areas of expertise include terrestrial flora and fauna field surveys (including threatened species and habitat assessment surveys), vegetation community delineation, condition assessment and mapping (including Regional Ecosystem (RE) delineation and BioCondition assessment), environmental offset suitability assessments, GIS analysis (including landscape connectivity analysis), bushfire hazard assessment and management, vegetation management, ecological restoration and rehabilitation. Carla has very strong botanical and technical expertise, as well as extensive experience in the preparation of ecological assessment reports, bushfire hazard assessment reports and management plans, species management plans, environmental management and rehabilitation plans. She has also written and delivered training workshops in plant identification.

 

Carla is committed to ongoing professional development and life-long learning. Carla holds qualifications in conservation and land management, spatial information systems and horticulture, and is currently undertaking post-graduate study (Master of Environmental Management).
